Three astronauts who had fulfilled China's first manned space docking mission met media this morning, two weeks after their safe return to Earth.
Liu Yang, China's first woman astronaut, together with veteran astronaut Jing Haipeng and crewmate Liu Wang, returned to Earth on June 29 following the successful docking between the Shenzhou-9 spacecraft and the Tiangong-1 space lab module on June 24.
The astronauts were sent into space aboard the Shenzhou-9 on June 16 from a launch center in northwest China's Gobi desert.
They also conducted a series of scientific tests during the 13-day space flight. |
